Professor
Mohsen Imenshahidi received his Pharma. D. degree from School of Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Mashhad, IR. Iran in 1998 and his Ph.D. in 2005 from the Department of Pharmacology, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, Iran. Ali Roohbakhsh (Pharm.D., Ph.D.),
Professor
Ali Roohbakhsh received his Pharm. D. in 2002 from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. He received his Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 2006. He is a full professor at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. He is interested to study anxiety, seizure, stroke, and addiction using different animal models. In recent years, he mainly focused on the behavioral effects of endocannabinoid system. This system is an interesting target for drug development especially for the treatment of a wide range of CNS disorders. There are also similarities between GPR55 and CB1 and CB2 receptors of the endocannabinoid system. Accordingly, some studies were undertaken to evaluate the behavioral changes following administration of its ligands. In addition, transient receptor potential family includes many receptors that mainly act as pain and temperature biosensors in the body. He also evaluates the neurobehavioral effects of TRPA1 and TRPV1 ligands in various neurobehavioral models. For example, the potential protective effect of TRPA1 antagonist in febrile seizure was evaluated using a murine model.
Seyed Ahmad Mohajeri (Pharm.D., Ph.D.),
Associate Professor
Seyed Ahmad Mohajeri received his Pharm.D degree in 2002 from School of Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences and Ph.D in 2008 from the Department of Pharmacology, Iran University of Medical Sciences. He is now associate professor in School of Pharmacy, Mashhad University of Medical Sciences. He is also managing director of a knowledge-based company (Pouyesh Darou Sina) which works in the field of natural medicine. His research interests are: 1) molecularly imprinted polymers and their applications in extraction, analysis and drug release, 2) pharmacological research on herbals and natural products, 3) randomized clinical trials, 4) extraction and purification of active ingredients from herbals, 5) HPLC analysis of chemicals.
